Romeoville Approves $97M Budget

Budget includes refund to residents and no additional taxes.

Submitted by the Village of Romeoville

During the meeting on April 20th, the Village Board passed the 2016-17 Budget. The total budget is $97 million. Residents will be pleased to learn that there are no new taxes and the tax rate for FY 16-17 will decrease.

While staying well under the inflation rate, the typical homeowner's property tax bill will be significantly less than it was in 2008. If the Village had increased the typical cost at the rate of inflation, the cost would be over $100 more per home.
