Romeoville Board OKs New Indoor Playground Equipment

ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Romeoville Village Board approved a proposal for the purchase of indoor playground equipment for its Jungle Safari indoor playground.

The Jungle Safari indoor playground is located inside the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Road.

Director of Parks and Recreation Kelly Rajzer said the current equipment has exceeded its useful life.

"The equipment was originally installed in 2002, and is now over 24 years old," Rajzer said.

According to Board documents, the total cost of the proposal from Kompan Inc., is $301,397.

"The playground at Deer Crossing Park is also a Kompan product, and has held up very well under the high volume of use the structure receives," Razjer said.
