Romeoville Glow-N-Go 5K is Oct. 3

Registration is under way for glow-in-the-dark nighttime walk/run.

The Village of Romeoville host the nighttime Glow-N-Go 5K on Friday, Oct. 3.

The event will step off at 7 p.m. at Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Rd.

Runners and walkers are invited to don their glowing gear for the event, which includes a multi-terrain course, a pre-race warmup party with a DJ, a glow face painter, glow giveaways and glow items available for purchase.

The event will be followed by the “Keep on Glowing” post-race party (location yet to be announced).

Registration is $25 per person on or before Oct. 1 and $30 per person after. The first 200 participants to register are guaranteed event T-shirts.

While strollers are allowed, they must start behind runners. Bikes, in-line skates, roller skates and wheeled vehicles other than wheelchairs are not allowed; pets are also not allowed.

Awards will be given to the first-place overall male and female runners, the top three male runners in each age group and the top three female runners in each age group.

Register online or stop in at the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department, 900 W. Romeo Rd., to sign up. Sign-up code is 14W901.

On-site registration and packet pickup are at 5:30 p.m. the day of the race.
