Romeoville HS Marching Spartans Finish 3rd at Stagg Marching Band Jamboree

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville High School Marching Spartans opened their competition season Saturday by placing third in Class 3A at the 37th Annual Stagg Marching Band Jamboree.

Romeoville presented its show titled “Neo*Gyptian” in competing against 10 other bands in its class (a total of 21 bands were classified in three sizes based on the number of playing musicians).

A panel of judges named Waubonsie Valley the Class 3A and overall Grand Champion with a score of 66.75. Joliet West was second in 3A at 66.05 and Romeoville finished a close third at 65.95.

Among individual awards RHS won outstanding percussion in Class 3A.

The Marching Spartans are under the direction of Clark Anderson and Adam Hill.
