Romeoville Man Accused of Firing Semi-Automatic Gun in Lakewood Falls: Police
Bullet struck home in Plainfield Township, sheriff's police said.

Will County Sheriff’s police believe a man arrested after allegedly firing a semi-automatic handgun from his vehicle Friday night in Romeoville is connected to an incident in which a bullet struck a home in the Lakewood Falls subdivision, police said.
Kevin Hodge, 22, of Romeoville, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault and DUI in connection with the Jan. 2 incident, according to jail records.

Romeoville Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said police received a report of shots fired near Hodge’s home in the 1600 block of Amaryllis about about 11:20 p.m. Police said shooting reportedly occurred near the Weslake and Lakewood Falls subdivisions.
Police tracked Hodge down and found a semi-automatic handgun and nine spent casings in his vehicle, Ferdinardo said.

Meanwhile, at 11:49 p.m., Will County Sheriff’s police responded to a report of a bullet hitting a home in the 21000 block of Kinsley Court in Lakewood Falls, located in Plainfield Township.
Spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said the bullet went through a window and hit the living room ceiling in the home. No one was injured, police said.
In addition to the DUI and weapons charges, Hodges was charged with possession of cannabis, as well as battery stemming from an incident earlier in the evening at the Brunswick Zone bowling alley, 735 Center Ave. in Romeoville, Ferdinardo said.
Hodge remained in custody Monday at the Will County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Bond information was not immediately available.
