Romeoville Man Arrested on Gun, Drug Charges

A Romeoville man was arrested Tuesday on felony weapons and drug charges after police executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Wynbrooke, police said.
Allen Estrada, 22, is charged with possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis, possession with intent to deliver more than 30 grams of cannabis, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a weapon without a FOID card, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of drug equipment, according to police.

Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said Romeoville’s tactical unit executed a search warrant at the home at around 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, recovering approximately one pound of marijuana, digital scales and a firearm.
He said the weapon is being sent to the Illinois State Police crime lab, and the case remains under investigation.

Estrada is due in Will County court on Thursday, according to jail records.
