Cmdr. John Ferdinardo said police and firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a home in the 1500 block of Amaryllis Drive at around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze before it did any structural damage to the home, although there was some smoke and fire damage, police said. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, police said, and no one was hurt.

Ferdinardo said evidence found at the scene indicated that the fire was set intentionally.
Police located Hubbard, who admitted he had set the blaze, Ferdinardo said. According to police, Hubbard said the home was going into foreclosure.
Although Will County jail records list a Chicago address for Hubbard, police said he is the owner of the Amaryllis Drive home. He was due in court on Tuesday afternoon.
