Romeoville Man Follows Ex To Work, Threatens Her With Gun: Cops
The 27-year-old is accused of following his former girlfriend to her Bolingbrook workplace, pushing her and threatening her with a handgun.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Romeoville man was arrested Friday after police say he followed his ex-girlfriend to her job in Bolingbrook, shoved her and threatened her with a handgun. Bolingbrook police said the threat came after a prior domestic incident that occurred in Melrose Park. Officers responded to the 13000 block of Remington Boulevard at around 5:30 a.m. after getting a report of a domestic battery involving a gun threat.
Police said Luis Ugalde, 27, of the 200 block of Hayes Avenue, fled the scene before officers arrived.
According to Bolingbrook police, Ugalde followed his ex-girlfriend to work. When he got there, Ugalde pushed his former girlfriend and threatened her with a handgun, police said. The woman was able to get inside her workplace and call police.

Bolingbrook officers went to Ugalde's home in Romeoville, where police say he attempted to run from them but was apprehended. He was charged with felony domestic battery, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a gun without a FOID card and resisting an officer.
He was booked into the Will County jail, where records indicate he remained in custody on Monday with his bond set at $50,000.

Ugalde has prior arrests for domestic battery and violating an order of protection. He is due in court Tuesday.
