Romeoville Man Sues Attacker He Says Extorted Him and Threatened to Rape Wife, Kill Children
The attack has since deprived the beaten man's wife of "consortium," the lawsuit said.
A Romeoville man who was beaten by a Naperville man at a Lockport body shop claims his assailant tried to extort him and threatened to rape his wife.
Audrius Zilys, 33, and his wife, Inga Zilys, 35, filed a lawsuit against Audrius’ alleged tormentor, 40-year-old Nerijus Mileris.
Mileris was already found guilty of battery in connection with the alleged September 2013 attack at NM Auto Corporation in Lockport. Mileris was the owner of the repair and body shop at the time of the beating, the lawsuit said.

A second man, 44-year-old Keturakis Gintaras, 44, of Downers Grove, was charged along with Mileris in connection with the attack on Zilys. Gintaras was acquitted.
The same day Mileris was found guilty of battery, Audrius and Inga Zilys sought a protective order against the Naperville man.

“Nerijus and four other men jumped me,” Audrius Zilys said in his petition for the protective order.
“Nerijus kicked me,” he said. “Nerijus told me he was going to kill me, rape my wife. He said he would kill my children. He told me I would have to pay him $10,000 a month. I had to go to the hospital overnight.”
The Zilyses were denied a protective order against Mileris.
In their lawsuit, the Zilyses said Audrius Zilys was an “adult person in good physical and mental condition and was a faithful and dutiful husband” before the attack.
But after Mileris got through with her husband, Inga Zilys “lost and continues to lose the love, moral, beneficial and economic support, affection, society, companionship and solace” of Audrius, according to a claim for “loss of consortium.”
