Romeoville Offers Home/Businesses Incentives
Romeoville Reinvestment Program offers Incentives for Home Improvement and Relocation of Home-Based Businesses
The Village passed the Romeoville Reinvestment Program, which provides incentives to homeowners who substantially reinvest in their home and to help local home based businesses relocate into commercial districts within the community. The program will be comprised of various types of incentive opportunities, including:
Residential Home Improvement Incentives
- Room Additions (minimum size requirement 10 x 10 and project cost must be a minimum of $10,000)
- Driveway Upgrades (Only conversion from gravel to paved) - And/or driveways that are over 50% deteriorated
- Siding / Windows (street facing) / Door replacement (Must enhance entryway)
- Covered Porches (Must be a minimum 5 x 10 and project cost must be a minimum of $5,000)
- Landscaping (Seniors and Veterans only)
Home Based Businesses Relocation Incentives

- Current home-based businesses will be offered financial incentives to assist with startup costs associated with moving their business in the commercial district. These will include permit waivers, build-out cost incentives and startup incentives.
Seniors and Veterans Program
- Offers increased benefits for home based business relocation and home improvements.
"This program provides a great opportunity for residents to reinvest and add value to their property," said Mayor John Noak. "The incentives for home based businesses will alleviate some of the financial burden for our smaller businesses when making the decision to expand," he added.
