Romeoville OK's Park Improvement Projects
Projects at Boucher Prairie Park, Lakewood Estates Park total more than $340,000.

The Romeoville Village Board on Wednesday approved contracts for $340,266 in improvements to two village parks.
The funding includes $129,134 for restrooms at Boucher Prairie Park and $211,132 for renovations at Lakewood Estates Park, including new playground equipment, a new shelter and widening an entry path.
The board voted to waive the bidding process and award Joliet-based George’s Landscaping Inc. and Hitchcock Design Group of Naperville for the projects, according to the Times Weekly.

“ Everything gets old and rusty at times—whether we want to admit it or not ...” trustee Brian Clancy told the paper. “I just wanted to let everybody know that we are looking out for the people’s safety.”
The projects are scheduled to be completed by next summer.
