Romeoville Opens New Fire Station: Modern station paid for with cash on hand

On Saturday, August 13, 2016, residents and local officials celebrated the reopening of Fire Station 1 at 18 Montrose Dr. The new station provides greater efficiency while meeting the continued growth of the community. The station was reconstructed in the existing location to remain a neighborhood firehouse.

"We were pleased that we were able to rebuild the station in its current location with cash on hand and without any new debt," said Mayor John Noak.

This station also serves as the headquarters for Fire Department Administration. Personnel are expected to take occupancy in the next few weeks.
