Romeoville Police Honor First Female Officer
"Officer Dreher overcame skepticism and uncertainty and proved the value of women police officers."

The Romeoville Police Department last week recognized its first female officer.
Police Chief Mark Turvey presented retired Officer Sandra Dreher with a plaque reading, "Through her determination, professionalism and compassion for others, Officer Dreher overcame skepticism and uncertainty and proved the value of women police officers. Her example inspired other females to pursue a career in law enforcement and paved the way for numerous other female officers who followed."
