UPDATE: Romeoville's Veterans Day Service Moved Indoors
The event will now take place on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. at Fire Station 1 which is located at 18 Montrose Drive.

ROMEOVILLE, IL - Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Village of Romeoville's annual Veterans Day service is changing locations. The special ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Edward "Doc" McCartan Veteran’s Memorial which is located at 11 Montrose Dr in Romeoville. However, the event will now be held at Fire Station 1 located at 18 Montrose Drive.
The event will open with an American set performance by the Firefighters Highland Guard followed by Mayor John Noak who will welcome the crowd and say a few words commemorating the day.
The Romeoville High School Band will perform the National Anthem while the Romeoville High School Marine Corp Jr. ROTC will take part in the marching of the colors.

During the event, Romeoville Cub Scouts Pack 21 will pay tribute to the village's veterans while several groups will honor veterans by taking part in the presentation of wreaths.
Chaplain Virgil Oikion with American Legion Post 52 will close the event with a prayer.
