Romeoville Sees Renewed Interest in Office Construction

At the 11/15 Village Board meeting, the Board reviewed a concept that would add a new office building in the Windham Lakes Business Park.

At the November 15th Village Board meeting, the Village Board reviewed a concept that would add a new office building in the Windham Lakes Business Park. The building would be a single story, 43,000 square foot structure with multiple entrances to allow tenants a customizable space. This is the largest speculative ground up office building to be constructed within northern Will County in last few years.

“We’re happy to see office space expansion and to bring more jobs and businesses to Romeoville.” said Mayor Noak

The building would occupy vacant property near the intersection of Weber Rd. and Windham Pkwy. Developers are aiming for the project to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. Final plans will be submitted for approval sometime this winter.
