Romeoville Warming Centers: Where To Find Them

ROMEOVILLE, IL - Emergency personnel are reminding residents to take the necessary precautions to ensure their health, safety and well-being during days of especially low temperatures.

In Romeoville, the forecast is calling for cloudy skies with a high near 27 degrees and wind gusts as high as 30 mph. According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

Due to the cold weather, the Will County Emergency Management has identified several warming centers throughout Romeoville. Residents may come to the following warming shelters to escape the cold:

Romeoville Fire Station #3

INSTRUCTIONS: Pick up ring-down phone if no one is there. Call Police Dept if after 9:30 p.m. at 815-886- 2141 or 815-886-7219.

Romeoville Recreation Center

INSTRUCTIONS: Monday - Friday 8 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

White Oak Library District - Romeoville Branch

ADDRESS: 201 W. Normantown Rd.

INSTRUCTIONS: Monday - Thursday 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
