Romeoville's Ortiz Charged in Connection with South Chicago Shootings: Report
Two adults, three teens apprehended by police following a Tuesday night incident in a South Chicago neighborhood.

A 29-year-old Romeoville man is one of five people who have been charged with shooting two men Tuesday (Aug. 20) in a South Chicago neighborhood, according to a Sun-Times News Group Report.
Christian Ortiz, 29, of the 2000 block of Rosehill Court in Romeoville was charged with two counts of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm, according to the report. He was arrested in January on drug charges.
Ortiz was charged along with one other adult—Jesus Quintana Jr., 27, of Chicago—and three teens in the Tuesday shootings of two men in South Chicago, according to the Sun-Times News Group report.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the arm. Minutes later, a 21-year-old man was shot in his arm and neck. Both were hospitalized. Both are listed in stable condition, according to the report.
