Second Annual Kids Fishing Derby Planned In Romeoville
The free event, "Cops and Bobbers," is for kids ages 3 to 17.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville and the Romeoville Fraternal Order of Police will hold the second annual fishing derby on July 16. The free event, "Cops and Bobbers," is for kids ages 3 to 17.
According to the Village website, you must register by July 2, and the event is limited to 150 participants. Participants will receive giveaways and lunch, but must bring their own fishing equipment.
The fishing derby will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lake Strini, 524 W. Belmont Drive. Prizes will be awarded within each age group for: most fish, largest fish and smallest fish.
