Second Term for Manley: Joliet Democrat Hangs On to 98th District Seat

98th District State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, will serve a second term after defeating Republican Yvonne Bolton Tuesday.
With all precincts reporting, Manley came away with more than 61 percent of the vote.

An accountant and radio personality on WJOL, Manley defeated Bolton, who serves as the Plainfield Township tax collector.

The 98th District is entirely in Will County and includes parts of Bolingbrook, Crest Hill, Joliet, Lockport, Plainfield and Romeoville.
All election results are unofficial until they are canvassed and confirmed 7 to 14 days after the election. Absentee ballots and such will be counted after election day, and City of Aurora results will be added after Nov. 25, according to the Will County clerk’s office.
