Sex Offender Failed to Register New Address: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents occurred between May 2 and May 9.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

May 2

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 900 block of Chicago Tube Drive. Someone used a BB gun to damage the rear spoiler and rear window of a vehicle that was parked in the business lot. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $400.

May 3

Therese Marino 42, of the 700 block of Delta Ave., was charged with driving while license suspended, improper lane use, no insurance and possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred in the area of Essex and Normantown.

May 4

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Someone took two televisions valued at a total of $559.76 from the business.

May 5

A retail theft was reported in the 300 block of South Weber. Someone took four boxed sets of DVDs. Cost of the products taken is $149.96.

May 6

Steven Fritz, a 47-year-old homeless man, was charged with failure to register new address as a sex offender and trespass. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of Gordon.

A theft over $500 was reported in the 900 block of Crossroads Parkway. Someone took a semi-trailer valued at $5000.00 from the parking lot of the business.

May 7

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with retail theft, curfew violation and possession of tobacco. The arrest occurred in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road.

Jaime Labra-Ponce, 32, of the 4100 block of Owen Hill Rd. in North Carolina, was charged with battery. The arrest occurred in the 700 block of West Taylor Road.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 0-100 block of Windflower Ct. Someone entered the vacant residence and damaged walls and counter tops. Estimated cost to repair the damage is unknown at this time.

May 8

Andrew Banas, 26, of the 500 block of Scott Ln., was charged with burglary from a motor vehicle. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of Murphy Dr.

Everette Oxendine, 19, of the 600 block of Glen, was charged with residential burglary. The arrest occurred in the 600 block of Glen.

May 9

A theft over $500 was reported in the 1400 block of Normantown Road. A semi-trailer with an unknown value was reported stolen. There are no suspects.

A residential burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Birch Lane. Someone entered the residence by breaking a window. It appears that nothing was taken; however, a storage cabinet was damaged.
