Skoff Elementary Raises Nearly $4,000 To 'Scare Away' Cancer
The money will benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital and local organizations.

ROMEOVILLE, IL - On a recent Saturday morning, Skoff Elementary School students, parents, and staff gathered to “Scare Away Cancer” and raise money to donate to organizations dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer.
Participants in the event collected pledges for the Scare Away Cancer Walk and sold “Scare Away Cancer” t-shirts for a donation of $10.
Skoff physical education teachers David Haskins and Christine Wright organized the event with the help of the Skoff school community.

The total amount raised was $3,922 with $2,000 donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the remainder to local organizations.
