Stolen Lug Nut Causes Wheel To Fall Off: Romeoville PD Reports
Recent incidents reported by the Romeoville Police Department.

Sept. 19: A burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Normantown Road. Unknown person(s) broke the front window of the business and broke the glass on two display cases. Unknown items were taken from the display case.
Sept. 19: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Windham Parkway. Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and took identification documents and a handgun from the vehicle.
Sept. 20: A theft of motor vehicle parts was reported in the 0-100 block of Belmont. Unknown person(s) removed the lug nuts from the back wheel of a parked vehicle. While the driver was leaving the residence, the wheel fell off, doing damage to the axle and rear bumper.

Sept. 25: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Gorman. Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and took four cigars from it.
Sept. 25: A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview. Unknown person(s) took $175.00 from a wallet in a locker at the business.

Sept. 25: A retail theft was reported in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. An unknown person took an 18 pack of beer from the business.
Sept. 26: A theft under $500.00 was reported in the 200 block of Normantown. Unknown person(s) took an unlocked, unattended bicycle with a value of $150.00. from the business.
Sept. 27: A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Robbin. Unknown person(s) entered a parked vehicle and took a driver’s license and two credit cards.
