Students Hit by Car in Plainfield South Parking Lot: Cops
Both students were conscious as they were being taken to the hospital.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 17-year-old student at Plainfield South High School hit two students Monday morning while he was looking for a parking spot.
Joliet Deputy Police Chief Al Roechner said at around 6:55 a.m. a 17-year-old boy was traveling southbound in a Ford Escape through the parking lot when he moved his Ford out of the way for a vehicle traveling northbound and struck two 16-year-old students who were walking through the parked cars.
Both students, a boy and girl, fell to the ground, Roechner said.

“One had some soreness on his right arm, which was the 16-year-old boy, and the female had soreness in her back,” Roechner said.
Both students were taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, per the parents’ request, Roechner said. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
