Summer Library Programs Start Next Week At Valley View Schools
Students can still access library programs even after school is out this summer.

Led by the Wood View Elementary School Gears for Engineers Reading Club, Valley View School District 365U schools will conduct a wide variety of summer library programs this summer.
Wood View’s club, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday (except July 4) through Aug. 8, will focus on the new Wood View Makerspace. Students will not only be able to check out books, but will also be able to participate in a variety of technology-related activities.
Jonas Salk Elementary School’s drop-in summer library program will feature a variety of themes from 9 a.m. to noon every Wednesday (except July 5) through Aug. 2. The Fountaindale Library will provided stories and a puppet show on June 21 and Aug. 2, while therapy dogs will visit July 19.

- Hermansen Elementary School—8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through July 25
- Independence Elementary School—1 to 3 p.m. Mondays (except July 3) through July 31
- Irene King Elementary School—9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays (except July 4) through July 18, lunch provided for students under 18 from 11:30-noon, help Mrs. Vacik take care of the school’s edible garden from noon to 1 p.m.
- Jamie McGee Elementary School—9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays
- Oak View Elementary School—9 a.m. to noon Mondays
- Lukancic Middle School—10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays
