There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Romeoville

There are lots of fall festivities around Romeoville.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Fall is a great time to get outside in Illinois and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits.

Here are a few festivals and events in Romeoville worth putting on the calendar:

  • Halloween Fest, at Deer Crossing Park on Oct. 21. A trick-or-treat trail, entertainment, costume contest and more from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The first 400 children will receive a small pumpkin.
  • Trick-Or-Treat At Scene75, 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Scene75, 460 S. Weber Road. Multiple stations will welcome costumed children and give a handful of candy and the occasional toy.
  • Trunk or Treat at Romeoville High School, 100 N. Independence Blvd., from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 30. Open to kids ages 10 and younger; $1 entry, funds go to Romeoville High School students and families in need.
