Valley View Administration Center is Moving to New Location
The primary reason is to create more classroom space for the Early Childhood Center.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Valley View 365U Community School District Administration Center is moving.
At Wednesday's Village Board meeting, the Board approved a special use permit to allow the vacant commercial building site at 801 Normantown Road to be developed into the Valley View 365U Community School District Administration Center, according to a news release from the Village of Romeoville. Valley View School District is in the process of entering into a long-term lease of this property with Para Romeoville LLC.
"This is a great use for this building. We're excited to have Valley View School District utilizing the building," said Mayor John Noak in the release.

Valley View School District Superintendent Dr. James A. Mitchem Jr. said that the primary reasoning for the relocation of the district administration center is to create more classroom space for the Early Childhood Center (ECC), which is currently located in the back of the Administrative Center building at 755 Dalhart Ave. Starting in the Fall of 2017, the ECC will occupy the entire first floor of the building, while the Administration Center relocates to 801 Normantown Rd.
"The new administration center will support most central administration and provide space for professional development. We are encouraged by this move and look forward to the positive impact this will have on our students and staff," Mitchem said.
