Valley View Admins Honored With State Awards

Health Services Administrator Lisell Zuniga is a winner of the Illinois Nurses' Foundation 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Two Valley View School District administrators have recently won awards in their respective fields, according to a release from the District.

Health Services Administrator Lisell Zuniga is a winner of the Illinois Nurses’ Foundation 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award, the District said. The award was established in 2015 by the Illinois Nurses Foundation to highlight and celebrate young nurse leaders.

Also, Assistant Director of Nutrition Services Katie Treece is the recipient of the 2023 Illinois School Nutrition Association’s Presidents’ Award. The current ILSNA President presents this award to a person who made an impact on their Presidential year, the District said.

With the start of the 2023-24 school year, Treece will assume a leadership post with ILSNA, and begins a five-year term as a member of the ILSNA Board of Directors as vice president.
