Valley View Family Night April 14 in Romeoville

Free child care and Spanish interpretation services will be available.

Parents and community members are invited to attend the annual Valley View School District 365U Family Network Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Lukancic Middle School in Romeoville.

The evening will feature a keynote address by representatives of Equip for Equality, a non-profit, independent agency that provides self-advocacy assistance, legal services, and training to support and protect the civil and human rights of people with disabilities.

Also on the agenda are breakout sessions on such parent and family self-advocacy topics as Partnerships for Success in Elementary School, Early Childhood, Next STEPs (Transition Programming), Behavior Supports at Home, Utilizing resources and the PUNS List, Academic Success in High School, Protecting Your Students with Disabilities, and Success at Middle School.
