Valley View Transportation Department Honored for Veteran Hiring Policy
A recognition plaque was presented to VVSD Director of Transportation Dave Richards.

Members of Romeoville Post 52, American Legion, honored the Valley View School District 365U Transportation Department Thursday for its “outstanding record” of hiring veterans.
“This is our expression of gratitude for loyal dedication and service towards veterans, and an outstanding record of employment of veterans,” said Post Commander Virgil Oikion.
A recognition plaque was presented to VVSD Director of Transportation Dave Richards immediately after Richards honored the 13 veterans who either drive buses or work on the VVSD transportation maintenance team.

“We owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who served our country,” Richards said. “I am proud to employ our veterans and pay them the respect they earned through their service.”
