Village To Honor Veterans Despite Memorial Day Cancellation
Veterans will be honored with the help of a video tribute.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville sent out a community alert informing residents that in light of the global pandemic, this year’s Memorial Day Service has been cancelled.
Although the service is canceled the Village would still like to honor and remember veterans by creating a video recognizing those Romeoville veterans who have since passed away.
The Village is asking the community to submit the name, branch of service, years served, and a photo of a veteran you’d like to honor. The veteran must have been a Romeoville resident and must be deceased.
