Watch RHS Christmas Classic Online
Fans can watch live streaming video of first-ever holiday tournament online.

With lots of bells and whistles attached, including live Web stream coverage of every game, will launch its first-ever boys basketball holiday tournament on Dec. 26.
The Romeoville Christmas Classic 2011 will feature 16 teams playing 32 games in two divisions over a four-day period.
“Our hope is this tournament will eventually become one of premier boys basketball holiday tournaments in the Chicago area,” said RHS Athletic Director Jim Boudouris. “We expect to be able to attract top teams from throughout the state once everyone hears what a great tournament this is.”

One of the unique features of the Romeoville Christmas Classic will be live streaming video of all 32 games, with RHS students handling the camera work and the production. Each game will be available free of charge by going to www.RHS.IHigh.com.
“The great thing about this is grandma and grandpa in Florida or a parent serving overseas in the military will be able to watch any of these games simply by turning on their computer,” Boudouris said.

Tournament pairings have been broken down into the Small School Division and the Large School Division with winners of both divisions meeting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 29 for the championship. All games will be played in the RHS gym.
and Argo start things off on Dec. 26 at 9 a.m. followed by Crane and Harper at 10:30 a.m., Hubbard and Willowbrook at noon, Ridgewood and St. Francis DeSales at 1:30, University High and Chicago Christian at 3:30, Glenbard South and reavis at 5, and Joliet Catholic at 6:30 and RHS against Urban Prep West at 8 p.m.
First-round losers will play in the morning on Dec. 28, while first-round winners will go at it in the afternoon or evening. Romeoville High School would play at either 1:30 (if the Spartans lose game 1) or 6:30 (if they win game 1).
Every team is guaranteed four games. Consolation semifinals are Dec. 28 at noon and 1:30. Winners’ bracket semifinals are at 6:30 and 8 p.m.
Consolation bracket championship games will take place on Dec. 29 at 9 a.m. (seventh place), 10:30 a.m. (fifth place,) noon (third place,) and 5 p.m. (consolation championship.) Winners’ bracket games will be played at 1:30 (seventh), 3:30 (fifth), 6:30 (third) and 8 p.m. (first).
The public is welcome to attend. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
