What Businesses Should Come To Romeoville?

Here's what readers had to say.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A grocery store was high on the list last week when Romeoville Patch reached out to Facebook fans with a simple question: "What business would you like to see come to our town?" The question got nearly 100 responses.

With a Dominick's store that's been vacant for years, thanks to a lease that's owned by competitor Jewel-Osco, many readers clamored for another option, including Mariano's, Trader Joe's, Fresh Thyme or even Whole Foods.

Also high on the list were essentials like a bakery, deli or butcher shop, restaurants like Longhorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse, a sandwich shop, Portillo's and Meijer.

Other suggestions included venues for activities like a movie theater, batting cages, paintball, go-karts or hot yoga. A popular suggestion wasn't a business at all, but a simple request: "Put in sidewalks!!I would like to see our town become a walker friendly town!"
