What's closed on Presidents Day? For most people, it's a day off work, but if you're planning to use that free time to take care of some errands, you need to know what services and businesses are open on Monday, Feb. 20.
The federal holiday began in 1885 as a way to celebrate George Washington’s birthday. Since then, it’s become a way to celebrate all presidents, according to History.com. It is celebrated on the third Monday in February.
