Youth Soccer VP Accused of Sending Indecent Texts to Players: Police

A youth soccer club vice president was arrested Saturday, accused of sending inappropriate texts to female players, Bolingbrook police said.
Jason Lentz, of the 1400 block of Firethorn, is charged with indecent solicitation of a child, grooming and solicitation to meet a child age 5 or older, according to Will County jail records.

Bolingbrook police said they received a report Sept. 22 accusing an adult male of sending inappropriate text messages to juvenile females.
Lt. Mike Rompa said police learned that the man, 39-year-old Jason Lentz, was a vice president with Bolingbrook Soccer Club. According to police, the underage girls allegedly contacted by Lentz were players for the organization.

The Bolingbrook Soccer Association website lists Lentz as vice president of travel soccer.
At around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, police executed a search warrant at Lentz’ home, where he was taken into custody.
The search warrant was a result of the ongoing investigation which involved the Will County’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Naperville Police Department High Technology Crimes Unit, police said.
Lentz was booked into the Will County jail, and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
