Fireworks Saturday Night At Shorewood's Crossroads Fest

Shorewood's Crossroads Festival draws plenty of residents from Joliet, Plainfield, Channahon and Minooka.

SHOREWOOD, IL - Roughly 20,000 people are expected to attend this weekend's 41st annual Crossroads Festival. The annual summer festival occurs at Cene's Four Seasons Park, 25520 West Seil Road. Shorewood's Area Chamber of Commerce puts on the event, and Heartland Bank and Trust is the presenting sponsor.

"We get a lot of people from the surrounding area and a lot of people come home," said Chamber President Carol Wagner. "It's a hometown carnival and it's a nice way to bring everybody back home."

Here are 10 important things to know about this weekend's three-day event in Shorewood.

1. Friday's carnival goes from 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday's is from noon to 11 p.m. Sunday's is 1 to 7 p.m.

2. You can purchase an unlimited ride special wristband for $25 per person on each of the days. Friday's is good for 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday's from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday's from 1 to 5 p.m.

3. Craft and vendor tent is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

4. Back Country Roads takes stage from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and ARRA plays from 9:30 p.m. until 1 a.m.

5. On Saturday, there's contests for eating pies at 3:30 p.m., wings at 4 p.m. and hot dogs at 4:30 p.m.

6. Eat Street stays open from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

7. The Millennials play from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, and that is a free concert over at Eat Street.

8. Sunday's car show is from 1 to 4 p.m.

9. Shorewood's fireworks show is at 9 p.m. Saturday.

10. Sunday's parade kicks off at noon and lasts about an hour.
