2017 Whiteford 13U Travel Team Tryout - 9/10/16

Our 13U team is made up of seven committed young men who genuinely like one another and who play for each other. All of them are great teammates who put ‘we’ before ‘me’. Last year they finished 20-8, won two tournaments and took 2nd in another. They played in two other tournaments against full time competition where they had some bumps and bruises early on, but by the last game they were more than competitive, they were on the doorstep of winning. If your child wants to become a better ballplayer, this is the team for them.
If your child wants to commit to a team and his teammates, this team is for him. We would have loved for our entire team to return, but three of our ten chose a different path. We will miss them but wish them well.
We are looking to add three to four quality players and individuals who will join the core of this tournament winning team. Our top three pitchers have returned as well as three of our top four hitters. They want to battle together again in 2017.
We will start indoor practices in January, practicing once a week. We will offer professional hitting instruction and professional speed and agility training to our players. We will play in DuPage River Pony conference next season at Whiteford. This is full time baseball without spending each and every weekend at a tournament. This is high quality competition which will offer your child the opportunity to compete and improve each and every night, while preparing them for High School Baseball.
We will play in four tournaments, as well next season. We will fundraise as well, and one tournament will be played out of state. This group has become a family and they truly enjoy each other’s company and playing together.
