SHOREWOOD, IL — Three months after being let out of Will County's Jail, 33-year-old Joliet resident Jessica Rodak was arrested again, this time by the Shorewood Police Department after a recent drug overdose happened at one of the Speedway gas stations along Route 59.
Shorewood police said the incident happened last Thursday just before 3 a.m. Rodak was arrested at the scene of the incident on charges of methamphetamine possession and delivery/possession with intent to deliver.
According to the police agency, the overnight patrol officers were dispatched to the Speedway for an overdose. The officers met with the victim, who told them they swallowed a chunk of meth and needed help. The victim told the officers a woman they were with said not to say anything and ran away, according to officials.
Officers found Rodak inside the gas station and asked what her relationship to the victim was. She said they just met on the Facebook dating app.
Shorewood police said the officers found a bottle of Tito’s Vodka in her purse. Officers searched Rodak’s purse and found three resealable bags with the words “Ice Rocks” and an astronaut pictured on the bags, according to police.
Two of the bags were empty. Inside the third bag was a glass-like rock substance, police said. The officers also found a small purple rubber container with a glass-like rock substance inside, which the officers suspected contained crystal methamphetamine, officials revealed.
Rodak was arrested and subsequently released with court information. Rodak comes from the 1400 block of Joliet's Citadel Drive. She spent about six weeks in the Will County Jail following a Joliet police arrest in late February. She also spent a good portion of 2025 in and out of the Will County Jail related to various criminal charges she was facing in Will County.
