• Shorewood's Greatest Development Ever? Dr. Chow's 'The District' Will Break Ground Near Towne Center (patch.com) — Shorewood is poised for a major transformation as Dr. Joe Chow prepares to break ground on The District, a 12-building commercial development surrounding his Rusty Ridge Animal Center near Towne Center. Village officials hope the first two-story, family-style restaurant overlooking the pond will open next year, eventually bringing more dining, coffee shops, salons, and clinics to create the downtown feel residents have long wanted.
