Another Shorewood Fire, This Time It's Lake Of The Woods
Troy Fire Protection District, along with several area agencies, extinguished a house fire Sunday evening on South Lakewoods Lane.

SHOREWOOD, IL — For the second time in three days, the Troy Fire Protection District found itself battling a house fire in Shorewood. Sunday evening's blaze began in the basement of the one-story ranch at 21437 South Lakewoods Lane. The house is part of the Lake of the Woods subdivision off Mound Road.
Troy fire officials told Patch that the working house fire was reported around 6:05 p.m. Firefighters had the blaze under control by around 6:45 p.m. The homeowners escaped to safety and nobody was hurt.
One of the neighbors spotted the fire and called 911, according to Troy Fire.

The house, for now, is temporarily uninhabitable.
Besides Troy, area fire departments that provided assistance included Minooka, Plainfield, Channahon, Wilmington, East Joliet, Joliet, Lockport and Rockdale.
