AT&T's Tangled Web in Shorewood
AT&T U-verse Internet service has been mysteriously unable to provide the Village of Shorewood's website to customers.

Do you use an AT&T U-verse modem? Do you want to check out the website for the ? Well, too bad. You're out of luck.
AT&T U-verse customers have been deprived of Shorewood's official website for well over three months now, village officials said, and no one from the telecommunication giant seems to have any idea why.
"They're mystified," said Mayor Rick Chapman.

But even though the problem has AT&T stumped, the company is working hard to solve it.
"They're calling in the heavy hitters, they're telling me, the high-tech guys," the mayor said following a phone conference with representatives of AT&T on Monday.

"Apparently they had a crew of tech engineers working on it all night," Chapman added.
Chapman said AT&T has assured village leaders that the glitch is not the fault of Shorewood, and he pledged to keep on top of the company.
"We're staying on them until they satisfy us or they can't," he said. "I really can't see the 'can't' myself. They're going to find out (what's wrong) eventually."
