Beginning Metalsmithing Workshop at Joliet Junior College

Join a 4 week hands-on workshop featuring basic metalsmithing techniques for jewelry making.

Saw, Bend, Solder: Beginning Metalsmithing Techniques
(LLC 4915)

In this workshop, you will learn the basic metalsmithing techniques that are essential to successfully working with metal sheet and wire. These include sawing and piercing, bending and forming, annealing and soldering. Completion of several small copper practice samples and a larger silver project will be accomplished in this four week workshop. Suitable for beginning to intermediate students; no experience is necessary, all supplies are included in course fee.
Saturdays, October 4 through 25 from 9a.m.-1p.m., Joliet Junior College Main Campus
Course fee: $199
