“We passed many new laws last year and we have quite a few issues that we will need to address in the coming year,” Bertino-Tarrant said. “I want to hear from residents about their feelings on many of these important topics.”

Some of the issues that Bertino-Tarrant expects community members to weigh in on are the income tax debate and the proposed minimum wage hike.

In addition to these high profile issues, town hall meetings also give members of the community an opportunity to discuss other state government and community concerns.

“If members of the community are willing to take time out of their day to attend a town hall meeting, I want it to be as informative and worthwhile as possible,” Bertino-Tarrant said.

The town hall meeting is open to the public. Bertino-Tarrant encourages anyone with questions or concerns to come join her for a candid conversation about state and local government issues.
