Burrito Express — Good Food Fast
Shorewood's newest burrito place has quality food and stays open late.
After a lifetime in the restaurant business, Jose Mario De La Torre knows the secret to serving good food.
"We make everything from scratch," said De La Torre. "Our steak tacos are made with skirt steak. We don't use cheap meat."
De La Torre burst on restaurant scene in August when he opened up at 967 Brookforest Ave. Before that, he owned and operated El Burrito Azteca in Plainfield.

While Burrito Express is just De La Torre's latest culinary venture, it is also the culmination of his career.
"All my life I worked in the restaurant business," he said. "Since I was 15-years-old."

Burrito Express is open from 9 a.m. to midnight on Sunday through Thursday, and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. They also deliver.
