JOLIET, IL — A 31-year-old man from San Clemente, California remained locked up in the Will County Jail after Shorewood Police arrested him on charges of theft and criminal damage to government supported property. Winston Hart is accused of throwing several rocks and shattering glass windows inside the Shorewood-Troy Public Library during the late hours of Aug. 7, after the library staff had closed up the building and went home.

A second charge against Hart states that "said defendant knowingly obtained unauthorized control over property of the owner, Pepsi Corporation, to wit Pepsi shells which are product delivery containers with the intent to deprive Pepsi Corporation .... of the use or benefit of the property."
