Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant's Closure 'Temporary'

In 2019, Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant moved just down the hill from the Jewel grocery store along Route 59 and U.S. Route 52.

SHOREWOOD, IL — One of the Joliet's popular sit down restaurants, the Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant in Shorewood, is not open for the moment. However, a sign on the door alerts people the closure is just temporary.

The sign on the door indicates Casa Maya will be temporarily closed from July 3 through July 20 and reopening on Thursday, July 21.

Casa Maya built a new restaurant in 2019 at the Anderson's Crossing in Shorewood near the corner of Route 59 and U.S. Route 52. Before that, Casa Maya restaurant was in the Park Place Plaza, just down the road from the Shorewood Police Department, for 14 years.
