Chesterbrook Academy Preschoolers Donate More Than 225 Gifts

Students held a gift drive in support of The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program

On Dec. 13, Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Shorewood presented a donation of gifts to a representative from The Salvation Army. Over the past month, students worked together to fulfill the wishes of 75 local children in need through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. In total, students collected more than 225 gifts – including 17 bicycles – for the children. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to their community and helping others.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothes and toys for 1 million children who usually go without gifts during the holiday season. Anonymous donors adopt these little "angels" in an expanding holiday tradition that makes the season brighter for both the gift giver and receiver.
