Chicago Man With Coke Stuffed in Pants Scuffles With Cop in Hickory St. Alley: Police

The man had a "sizable amount" of cocaine stuffed in the back of his pants, police said.

A Chicago man with a “sizable amount” of cocaine stuffed in the back of his pants scuffled with a cop who was curious about why he was hanging around in a Hickory Street alley, police said.

Phillip Torres, 32, was sitting in a car parked in the alley about 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. When an officer arrived and ordered Torres out of the car, the Chicago man reportedly got “nervous and cagey,” and then pushed the cop.

Torres made a break for it but the officer caught him on Marble Street, police said. Torres reportedly hurt his face when he hit the ground and the officer suffered a hand injury in the struggle.
