Classical Conversations - Spring Protocol

Classical Conversations (CC) hosted its first Spring Protocol event on Saturday, April 5, 2014.  In a van donated by Enterprise Rent-a-Car, the Challenge I and Challenge II classes of the local CC community, accompanied by Larry and Kyle Fisk and Carol Lea, traveled to the University of Chicago Logan Center for the Arts to attend the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra program.  After the performance of predominantly Modern classical music, the students enjoyed a formal dinner in Tinley Park. The Spring Protocol event is designed to be both fun and informative, a chance for young men and women to learn and practice proper protocol during formal events.

Classical Conversations is a home-centered education program that equips parents whose desire is to combine a Christian worldview with the classical model of education. CC communities connect families with others who home-school using the classical model, and they become companions who can share the journey.  CC also connects families with experienced and trained mentors who offer leadership. Each community consists of K-12 programs that are facilitated by a trained parent-director and weekly seminars are led by trained parent-tutors who model the classical tools of learning.
