SHOREWOOD, IL — Last July, a little girl in Shorewood named Daniella became a huge hit thanks to her lemonade stand she set up to aid the families who suffered tragedies during last summer's flooding disasters in Texas.

Daniella was featured in a July Joliet Patch story after the village of Shorewood issued a Facebook bulletin letting everyone know that Daniella will be offering more of her homemade lemonade that coming Saturday. Daniella had her lemonade stand set up this week with the hopes of sending all of her money to a Texas flood disaster relief effort.

On Thursday afternoon, at Shorewood Mayor Clarence "CC" Debold's annual state of the village speech, he introduced Daniella and her family and reminded everyone in the audience of her kindness and generosity and how it made such a huge positive impact on Shorewood.

Mayor DeBold also let the crowd of 150 people know that Shorewood was allowing Daniella to bring back her lemonade for this special event. Daniella would be selling her lemonade inside the hallway of the new Shorewood YMCA where Thursday's state of the village speech was taking place.

Last year, the village posted on Facebook that "after overwhelming community support, the Castillo family announced that Daniella will host another lemonade stand" at the Trinity Christian School near Black Road in Shorewood. The address for Trinity Christian is 901 Shorewood Drive.
