Book Launch At Critical Grind Board Game Cafe: 'I'm Deeply Grateful To This Community'

SHOREWOOD, IL — Critical Grind Board Game Café will host a Local Author Book Release Launch Event for Christal Marie Gonzalez on Saturday, February 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 852 Sharp Drive in Shorewood.

The event celebrates the release of Gonzalez’s newest novel, The Vow of the Guardian, a dark romantic fantasy set in a cursed kingdom ruled by fear, secrecy, and inherited power. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the author, purchase signed copies of the book, take photos, and participate in oracle readings hosted by Gonzalez.

Critical Grind will also feature a special café menu inspired by the world and themes of the novel. Preferred Seating tickets are available for $10, which reserves a seat and includes one café beverage. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

About the Book
